Course Overview

This course offers an opportunity to deepen your creative practice and develop your identity as a maker. Through experimentation and research, you will learn how traditional and contemporary natural and traditional printing techniques can be used to create expressive, thoughtful, and responsible printed work.

This course is open to anyone interested in the historical and creative potential of screen printing and printmaking. It is particularly suited to those with some prior experience of printing processes and a keen interest in expanding their skills using natural, low-impact methods. The course is also ideal for learners who wish to develop more ambitious, conceptually informed work and who, with staff support, are prepared to exhibit their final pieces at the Arts House at the College.

This new and inspiring course has been developed in response to learner interest in environmentally conscious creative practices and the tutor’s specialist knowledge of natural and ethical printing methods. It offers a rare opportunity to explore printmaking through a sustainable, history-focused lens, combining traditional knowledge with contemporary ecological concerns.

Assessment Methods

This is a non-accredited course and does not include formal assessments. However, your tutor will provide feedback each week to help you progress.
