Students from across the college came together to volunteer at the Taunton Half Marathon, gaining real-world experience while supporting the local community.
Students from Taunton College, part of UCS College Group, played an important role in supporting this year’s Taunton Half Marathon, volunteering their time to help ensure the popular community event ran smoothly.
On Sunday 1st March, 30 students from a range of subject areas volunteered along the marathon route. The group included learners from Sport, Uniformed Protective Services, ESOL, and the Hospitality provision, who worked together to assist organisors an participants throughout the event.
The experience also provided valuable real-world learning opportunities while actively supporting the local community.
Assistant Principal, Clare Dunphy, praised the students and staff involved:
