The course focuses on developing serious computing and programming skills for a world increasingly assisted by complex digital technology, such as smartphones, smart TVs, self-driving cars, and big data systems. It aims to make students employable globally.

Assessment Methods
Assessment is conducted through coursework only, with no formal examinations. Methods include assignments, practical work, reports, presentations, and live scenarios. Students will undertake individual and group projects using industry-standard software and will have access to specialist resources.
Progression Options
Graduates will have a range of professional and technical skills that are highly desirable to employers. They will have experience working in real-world environments and projects, demonstrating adaptability and the ability to handle pressure.
Entry Requirements
Typically, entrants should have a minimum of 80 UCAS points from a full Level 3 qualification in a related area and at least four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths.

All students have the opportunity to meet with a Careers Advisor for 1:1 career support.
The Student Experience Team can mentor and signpost students who are struggling with a range of issues that are negatively impacting their day-to-day life. The Student Experience Team works closely with the Safeguarding & Lifestyle Teams to promote proactive wellbeing enrichment sessions. The team can refer on to counselling when appropriate.

All of our students will have a personal tutor to support them with their academic progress and personal development. The tutorial programme consists of 1:1 support, group tutorials and guest speakers, plus targeted online resources which complement the UCS College Group Advantage scheme.
