Course Overview

Plant based cooking is arguabley a current food trend which is here to stay but can also be a little daunting. This course is designed to help you cook not only plant based but more sustainably within your very own kitchen. A great opportunity to take part in ‘veganuary’. You will learn some tips and tricks for including more plant based dishes into everyday meals. This is not about replacing all animal protein, it is aimed at increasing your confidence to try new things and experiment with flavours. The course makes use of the incredible facilities of the Quantock Restaurant. The day will be packed with a hands on workshop, learning how to make a plant based 3 course meal that you can easily add to your weekly meal plan. This includes falafels which you will be trying out for your lunch. Make sure you bring some containers to take home your rhubarb and ‘custard’ as well as the other treats you create.

You will also take home a handy booklet with the recipes so you can create the dishes again and again adding your own tweaks. We hope you will be ha-pea to go plant based with us! Make sure you wear comfy shoes as you will be on your feet for the majority of the day and our kitchen uses induction hobs so please be aware that this may not be appropriate for anyone with a pacemaker. We will welcome you with a coffee, tea and have water available but please bring any other refreshments you may require.
