This course is designed for students who have completed the Foundation Degree in Makeup Artistry, Prosthetic FX & Wig Making, or an equivalent qualification. It will provide you with the advanced skills and knowledge you need to work at the highest level in the film, television and theatre industries.

- Advanced prosthetic effects
- Advanced wig making and styling
- Character design
- Professional practice
- Major project
Assessment Methods
Assessment is through a combination of practical projects, presentations and a major final project.
Progression Options
On successful completion of this course, you will be well-equipped for a successful career as a freelance makeup artist, or to work for a major film, television or theatre production company.
Entry Requirements
Typically, entrants will possess a Foundation Degree in Makeup Artistry, Prosthetic FX & Wig Making, or an equivalent Level 5 qualification.

The Student Experience Team works closely with the Safeguarding & Lifestyle Teams to promote proactive wellbeing enrichment sessions. The team can refer on to counselling when appropriate.

All of our students will have a personal tutor to support them with their academic progress and personal development. The tutorial programme consists of 1:1 support, group tutorials and guest speakers, plus targeted online resources which complement the UCS College Group Advantage scheme.
