Course Overview

You must be aged 19+ at 31 August of the current academic year.

This course takes a holistic approach to maths and covers the following topics:

  • Number
  • Algebra
  • Geometry
  • Measures
  • Statistics
  • Probability

Assessment Methods

Everyone sits three exam papers in May and June. Each paper will cover the same topics but one requires the use of a calculator.

Progression Options

Successful achievement of your GCSE Maths will help you to progress to other courses, employment or university.

Entry Requirements

You need a GCSE in Maths at grade D or 3 (a certificate must be produced) with additional assessment taken on entry to college. Please note you will need to apply for this course and should not enrol online. To be accepted on the adult programme students must be aged 19 or over.
