Course Overview

Whether you’re new to computers or want to improve your digital skills for work or everyday life, our digital skills pathway will help you build confidence and progress step by step. Our friendly tutors will help you choose the right starting point and support you throughout your learning journey.

Topics may include:

  • Using devices, software and online tools effectively
  • Creating and formatting digital documents and media
  • Communicating and collaborating online
  • Completing online transactions safely
  • Understanding digital safety, privacy and responsible online behaviour.

At Level 1 there is a stronger focus on digital skills needed in the workplace as well as everyday digital tasks.

Assessment Methods

Assessment is through a final exam at the end of the qualification.

Progression Options

You could progress to a Level 2 IT & Digital Skills qualification from Gateway Qualifications.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, it is recommended you have some basic digital skills.
