By Bus
Taunton College is a ten-minute walk from the town centre, and many local bus routes stop right outside.
By Train
Taunton’s well-connected railway station has direct links to Tiverton, Exeter, Bristol, Weston-super-Mare, Bath, Bridgwater, and many smaller stations in-between. It takes around 20 minutes to walk to the College from the station, or you can hop on a local bus if you’re in a hurry.
For timetables and costs, please use the National Rail Enquiries service.
By Car
To help protect the environment, we encourage students to walk, cycle, or use public transport whenever possible. For those who drive, we offer limited pay-and-display parking on-site for just £1 per day. You will need to register your car on arrival with Reception.
There is also a Park & Ride facility near Junction 25 of the M5. From there, it’s a 15-minute journey into Taunton’s town centre, followed by a short walk to the College.
By Bicycle
We offer secure bike shelters and racks for our local cycling students.
Keep track of when and where you need to be
The vast majority of collection times for students commuting to Taunton fall between 7am and 8am.
Students using our bus services that are traveling from the furthest points need to be ready early. The earliest collection is from Dulverton (Barnes Close) at 06:34am on Route 25, followed closely by Axminster Rail Station at 06:40am on Route 30.
Students traveling from Yeovil Bus Station (Route 54) or Minehead (Butlins) (Route 28) will need to be in place for 06:55am and 06:50am respectively.
Those living closer to Taunton have much later collection times, with pick-ups in Wellington (High Street) at 08:00am on Route 20, and Shoreditch Racecourse at 08:13am on Route 99.
